Anne Sallow was born exactly 30 minutes after her twin brother, on the 30th of June. She came into the world screaming with her first breath of new life, just as he had.

Tied together by fate and blood, one would rarely see a Sallow twin without the other. Unconditionally loved by their devoted parents, the Sallow twins had a happy childhood. Their curiosity, passion and joy never stifled. A striking contrast to the no-nonsense retired auror that took over their care when their doting parents died tragically in the basement of their home from unidentifiable noxious fumes.

Life in Solomon Sallows home was not one of joy or curiosity. The man’s thinly veiled disdain for being saddled with the care of two children was not lost on the twins, despite being only 8 years old.

Things only grew worse, more tumultuous as the twins grew and Anne fell victim to a dark wizards curse. Sebastian, ever the big brother, had been relentless and enthusiastic in saving her, much to their uncles dismay.

Their new home grew cold, tension filling every nook and cranny. There was no peace to be found for Anne, whose every breath was a gift when no one knew when they would stop for good.

While Sebastian was able to find a reprieve from their guardian away at Hogwarts, Anne was stuck, and she took every opportunity to take her leave from the home she was bound too. When Sebastian visited, and arguments ensued, Anne would stay quiet — save for the cries of agony that their fighting would cause, stressing the curse that had made its home in her body.

Sebastian thought she was taking sides, the wrong side, when truly, Anne was just trying to survive in a home that felt like a prison and stay on the wardens good side.

Three years, the curse took Anne captive, drove a wedge between herself and the only true family she had left. Until one day, it’s caster perished in a duel, and it was lifted.

Anne returned to school for the start of her sixth year, eager to find a place for herself in this life again.

Once vibrant and light, Anne Sallow has always had a penchant for playful mischief and excitement. Innocent pranks on gullible first years and uptight faculty are still amongst the things she enjoys, even after everything. A light in the dark. Though the effects of the ailment she had suffered through for three years had left its mark, marred her soul and moulded her into something, and someone new.

A darkness in her mind, poking and prodding at her every insecurity - twisting her thoughts into ones of fear and anxiety, suspecting doom around every corner. Insomnia, and phantom pains keep her up throughout the night — and often during the day, leaving her bedridden.

Despite it all, she longs for normalcy. Nurturing her friendships, both old and new, Giving her all to her studies, eager to catch up to her peers and finding joy in the mundane. A lust for life in everything she does, grateful for each and every breath that fills her lungs.
