Professor Murray is patient, quiet, determined, hard working, and kind. He can also be materialistic, stubborn, ambitious, and dismissive. He is passionate about his subject and often times dazes off deep in thought. He plays classical music in his classroom when he is not teaching. He can be found drinking tea, reading, and smoking during office hours. He is often seen alone, his mind occupied with his lectures and books. He often takes visits to the Divination classroom to speak with Professor Onai about his theories and research. Unlike professor Shah, he understands the importance of both subjects Arithmancy and Divination heavily coexisting together. He is often described as a man of a few words.
