Timaeus Oliver Crouch is an only child from a prominent pure-blood family, and he was homeschooled for much of his adolescence. He has transferred into Hogwarts for his sixth year. Due to his rather isolated upbringing, he struggles to interact with his peers at Hogwarts.

Timaeus Oliver Crouch has big dreams to become something noteworthy: very specifically, he hopes to be Minister of Magic someday.

He is generally quiet, but he is not shy — he will fervently engage in conversations that he finds meaningful. He selects his friends judiciously, surrounding himself with those who are well-connected and/or talented in areas he finds advantageous toward achieving his goals. Though he is polite to those he finds unremarkable, he probably will not linger for long in interactions with such people.

He is quite competitive, though in an even-tempered way.
