Dove was raised on Mersea Island in the UK, living in a coastal house on the sandy beach. Her family chose to home educate her, teaching her their personal methods of using the oceans tools for magic.
Dove discovered her gift of connecting with the spirit world from a young age, when the tortured souls of those who had lost their lives at sea would reach out to her. From then onwards she developed a particular fascination for death, and an interest in communication with spirits and deities.

Dove was sent to Hogwarts in her 6th year in order to take her exams and develop her gift.

She is a bit of a loner, becoming friends with more ghosts than humans. The concept of death and the afterlife fascinates her, and she possesses a much different view on it than most of her peers. Dove is attracted to the darkness and mystery of death, and is not fearful of much. She is able to see and communicate with spirits that others are not, and is able to relay messages and information from them. (edited)

Dove has pale skin, light blue grey eyes, and very long wavy white blonde hair. Her appearance is wistful, resembling a ghost or spirit. She is usually expressionless and stares intensely at others. Her style is gothic, and she is usually wearing white or black.
